Fort Freedom Announces $1 Million Fundraising Goal for 5th Annual Veterans Day Celebration
Palm Beach Gardens, FL — Fort Freedom, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing the suicide rate among Veterans and supporting their transition to civilian life, has announced a $1 million fundraising goal for its 5th Annual Veterans Day Celebration, taking place on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 6–9 PM at the Hilton West Palm Beach.
In a significant show of state-level support, the State of Florida has awarded half of that goal in funding through the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs. This award, included in the Governor’s budget, is more than just funding — it’s validation of the impact Fort Freedom is making every day. The Palm Beach Gardens non-profit is calling on the community to match that momentum and raise an additional $500,000 through corporate sponsors, individual donors, and philanthropists.
This year’s event marks five years of Fort Freedom’s life-restoring Program, which provides trauma therapy, holistic wellness services, and purpose-driven guidance to Veterans across the United States. The evening will also honor six board members who have helped shape the organization’s growth and mission on five years of service: Cris Carter, Marc Chiurato, Samantha Jackson, Dr. Sylvia Keller, Shereen Vahabzadeh, and Dania Slim.
Founders Jerry and Jade Haffey will serve as Event Chairs for the evening. Jerry has issued a personal $10,000 commitment and is calling on community members and business leaders to match him in what is being called the Founder’s Match (also referred to as “Jerry’s Pick”). Donors who contribute at this level will receive special recognition during the event.
Jade Haffey, founder of the Veteran-owned business, Swifey Designs, is championing a unique $1,000 sponsorship tier specifically for Veteran-owned businesses—a way to honor Veteran entrepreneurs and make the event more accessible for small businesses that want to give back.
Sponsorship Opportunities range from $50,000- $1,000. Individual tickets are $250 ($150 for Veterans). The fun filled evening will feature a cocktail hour, live auction, plated dinner, and mission driven programming, featuring guest speakers and Fort Freedom Veteran alumni. Valet parking included.
