Jerry Haffey, Jr.

Founder and Chair

In 2004, Jerry joined the United States Army. He completed basic training and job training at Fort Knox in the US Army’s 5th Cavalry 1st Armor Training Brigade. He received several awards during his term including two Army achievement medals, a National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal (2005-2006, 1st Squadron, 71st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 10th Mountain Division), Army Service Ribbon, Combat Action Badge, Combat Life Savers Certificate, Expert Driver and Mechanic Clasp, and Expert Marksman Badge. While deployed, Jerry participated in over 150 joint patrols and over 35 raids – resulting in the capture of numerous insurgents and insurgent equipment.

Jerry then joined Ambrosia Treatment Centers from 2007-2020 as a minority partner heading up business development efforts. During his tenure, the Ambrosia team was able to treat over 15,000 patients nationwide. He was a member of the Palm Beach County Task Force which was designated to improve existing legislation. This was a national collaboration between healthcare providers and State and Federal politicians to improve care.

As a passion project, Jerry launched Fort Freedom, a non-profit 501(c)(3) public charity that provides Veterans freedom from the imprisonment of PTSD. The opportunity to give back to Veterans who have struggled from the Iraqi/Afghanistan war is the driving factor for Jerry to start this cause. Currently Fort Freedom derives outcomes based on Veterans’ anxiety, depression, and trauma levels to minimize the national suicide rate of Veterans. Jerry and his wife, Jade Haffey, chaired the 2019 March of Dimes Palm Beach County Chefs Tasting bringing awareness to the impact of premature birthed children. Lastly, the Haffey family launched the Haffey Family Tuition program. They awarded three academic scholarships for lower demographic children to attend private school from 1st to 8th grade in 2020 during the COVID pandemic.

In addition to his experience with the Army and Ambrosia Treatment Centers, Jerry completed several high-level training courses. These include Franklin Covey’s, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Zig Ziglar’s Sales and Management Training and Public Speaking Training, Tony Robbins Life and Wealth Mastery Certification, DMS Marketing training and certification and the Dale Carnegie Sales Training. Jerry also completed two years of individual training and received the Sandler Sales and Leadership Certification.
