Chelsea Platas serves as the Chief Development Officer at Fort Freedom. She received her undergraduate degree in Journalism from Palm Beach Atlantic University and an Master's Degree in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University. Her experience over the last 10 years has been with not-for-profit organizations; working previously with Make-A-Wish Foundation, Big Dog Ranch Rescue, and March of Dimes.

Volunteering always played a major role in her life, but she discovered it was her passion when she would read once a week to a second-grade class in an impoverished neighborhood. She realized how important and fulfilling it was to give back. She soon decided to pursue her graduate degree in Public Administration in order to make a difference in the community. “I wanted to start working for someTHING instead of someONE.” Chelsea is a South Florida native, currently living in Jupiter, Florida with her two daughters.
