Raul “G” Galaviz

Vice President &

Experience Director

 Raul Galaviz grew up in San Jose, California. He played and coached community college baseball prior to joining the United States Army in 2004. Raul entered basic training at Fort Knox in the US Army’s 5th Cavalry, 1st Armor Training Brigade. 

​

After completion of basic training, Raul was stationed at Fort Drum’s 10th Mountain Division. Prior to his deployment to Iraq, he participated in multiple tactical training deployments at Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) in Fort Polk, Louisiana. 

​

Raul is a Combat Veteran of two tours in Iraq, spanning 26 months and over 400 missions. His military accomplishments include Top Gunner, two-time Army Achievement Medal, the Combat Action Badge, Army Service Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, and the Combat Lifesaver Certificate.

Since retiring from the United States Army, Raul continues coaching baseball at his alma mater and runs volunteer programs for the local Boys and Girls Club. He enjoys spending time with family and working with programs that benefit the well-being of retired veterans.
